Patient Utilises JKN Online Queue for Liver Treatment Check-ups

Jakarta (ANTARA) - A National Health Insurance (JKN) participant, Angga Saputra, has utilised the Online Queue feature on the Mobile JKN application to support his routine check-ups while undergoing treatment for fatty liver disease. “The Online Queue feature has truly changed the way we seek treatment. The service process greatly simplifies things for participants at health facilities. This digital system also significantly saves my working time as a civil servant. I no longer need to waste time queuing for long periods,” Angga said in a statement on Thursday. Angga explained that his treatment began with an examination at the Cilandak Community Health Centre before he was referred to Pasar Minggu Regional Hospital for more specific care. “Initially, I went for treatment at the Cilandak Community Health Centre first. However, my condition turned out to require far more specific medical handling. I was then directly referred to Pasar Minggu Regional Hospital through a very well-organised flow. The staff there also guided my entire referral process very well,” he said. During a recovery period of about two months, Angga underwent regular check-ups at the hospital. The medical team also directed him to fast regularly and maintain his diet to help restore liver function. According to Angga, using the Online Queue made the check-up process more efficient amidst his routine as a civil servant. He also admitted he could undergo treatment more calmly because all service costs are covered through the JKN Programme by BPJS Kesehatan, in addition to the friendly attitude of the medical staff towards patients. Angga believes the existence of JKN helps the public access healthcare services without being overly burdened by medical costs, so that lower-middle-income citizens do not need to worry about expenses when they fall ill. “For me, the most appropriate word to describe BPJS Kesehatan is beneficial,” Angga said. He hopes that the digital-based healthcare service system can continue to be developed, and that policymakers can review the periodic contribution amounts so they can be adjusted to be more affordable for all levels of society.
