Path to Sustainable Growth Conference Returns, Now Focusing on Cross-Sector Collaboration
The Apurva Kempinski Bali is again hosting Path to Sustainable Growth 2026, an annual forum bringing together industry players, academics, communities and organisations to discuss various sustainability issues. Unlike previous instalments which focused heavily on the tourism sector, this year’s forum has been expanded into a cross-sector collaboration platform. The conference, taking place on 24 June 2026 in the Candi Ballroom of The Apurva Kempinski Bali, carries the theme ‘Regeneration for the Future’. It will address issues ranging from cultural preservation and environmental management to industrial transformation and human resource development. The hotel’s Public Relations and Marketing Manager, Charles Octaiano Seran, stated that today’s sustainability challenges cannot be solved by a single sector, making broader collaboration essential. Path to Sustainable Growth 2026 is designed as a space for dialogue and collaboration, enabling stakeholders to share experiences, strengthen networks, and formulate relevant solutions for the future. ‘This year we are broadening the discussion scope so it does not only focus on the tourism industry, but also involves the financial, agriculture, education, and creative economy sectors – alongside various other fields that play a vital role in advancing sustainable development,’ Charles said. He added that the forum is part of efforts to promote a regenerative approach that not only seeks to reduce negative environmental impact but also creates added value for communities and ecosystems in a sustainable manner. The conference will feature four main discussion sessions covering cultural heritage preservation, natural resource management, industrial innovation and transformation, as well as human resource development and social welfare. Beyond the conference, the organisers are also presenting a mentoring and incubation programme titled ‘Seeds of Change’, aimed at university students and early-stage startups developing innovations in regenerative tourism and sustainability. Ten selected participants will join an eight-week incubation programme encompassing business mentoring, sustainability strategy, and business development planning. At the end of the programme, the two best teams will receive development grants of Rp50 million and Rp20 million respectively. Charles expressed hope that the forum will strengthen cross-sector collaboration while generating new ideas and initiatives capable of delivering tangible impact for sustainable development in Indonesia. ‘We want sustainability not to stop at discussion, but to be translated into real action that provides long-term benefits for society and the environment,’ Charles said.
