Pasuruan North Coast Route Normal Again After Flood Paralysis
Flooding at several points along the Pasuruan north coast route has receded after being inundated since Tuesday (24/3) night. The roads are back to normal and can be traversed by vehicles. The flooding previously submerged the north coast route in Beji Village, Beji Sub-district, which connects the Gempol-Bangil areas. This route was closed due to deep water pooling. Additionally, flooding also inundated the north coast route on Jalan Ir Juanda in Pasuruan City. Flood heights ranged from 30 cm to 1 metre. “Early morning the flood started from 30 cm to 100 cm,” said Hudan Dardiri, a resident of Sadengrejo Village, on Wednesday (25/3). In Bangil Sub-district, flooding hit Tambaan Village, Kalianyar Ward, Kalirejo Ward, Kauman Village, Latek Village, Manaruwi Village, and Masangan Village. The worst flooding in Bangil reached 70 cm. Severe flooding also occurred in Beji Sub-district. Six villages and wards were inundated, namely Beji Village, Kedungringin Village, Gununggansir Village, Pagak Ward, Kedungboto Village, and Cangkringmalang Village. “Beji was the worst, with some reaching 110 cm,” said the Head of Pasuruan Regency BPBD, Sugeng Hariyadi. Meanwhile, in Winongan Sub-district, flooding occurred in Menyarik Village, Mendalan Village, Gading Village, Minggir Village, Prodo Village, Winongan Lor Village, Winongan Kidul Village, and Penataan Village. In several villages, pooling reached 80 cm. In Grati Sub-district, flooding hit Kedawungkulon Village. In Gondangwetan Sub-district, flooding affected Ranggeh Village, Wonojati Village, Bajangan Village, Pateguhan Village, and Sekarputih Village. Meanwhile, in Kejayan Sub-district, Tanggulangin Village, Kepuh Village, and Kurung Village were reported to be flooded. In Kraton Sub-district, flooding hit Sidogiri Village. Meanwhile, in Pohjentrek Sub-district, flooding affected Sungi Village. “In Pasrepan Sub-district, Jogorepoh Village also had high flooding,” explained Hari, a local resident. Meanwhile, in Pasuruan City areas, flooding occurred in many wards. Including Tamanan Ward, Pekuncen Ward, Slagah Ward, Kebonsari Ward, Karangwingko Ward, Blandongan Kepel Ward, and Sekargadung Ward. “The worst in Tamanan, Kebonsari, and Karangwingko.
