Pasuruan Job Fair 2026: Driving Collaboration Between Government and Industry
The Deputy Regent of Pasuruan, Shobih Asrori (Gus Shobih), has officially opened the 2026 Pasuruan Regency Job Fair at Taman Candra Wilwatikta, Pandaan District. The event was organised to commemorate the 1097th anniversary of the Pasuruan Regency.
Held on Wednesday (23/9), the event carried the theme ‘Realising a Work-Ready Pasuruan Through Industrial Link and Match in Pasuruan Regency: Pasuruan Rises, Together We Can’. In his speech, Gus Shobih emphasised the importance of collaboration between the government, the industrial sector, and the education sector to meet the demand for competent labour.
“Through the industrial link and match concept, the labour needs of companies are directly matched with the competencies of job seekers and vocational education graduates,” he stated in a written statement on Tuesday (29/9/2026).
He likened the event to a ‘buffet’, as companies can directly review and select job seekers who meet their specific requirements.
“A work-ready Pasuruan means job seekers are prepared with their competencies, industry is ready to provide employment opportunities, and the government is ready to act as the connector and facilitator,” he asserted.
Furthermore, he reminded all parties of the importance of cooperation for regional progress.
“As stated by the Regent, the development of Pasuruan cannot be achieved by the Pasuruan Regency Government alone, but also through the involvement of companies and the entire community within the Pasuruan Regency,” he added.
He explained that the organisation of this Job Fair is expected to be more than just a meeting place for companies and job seekers; it aims to build a comprehensive employment ecosystem, ranging from mapping industrial needs to preparing relevant competencies.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Chairperson of the Pasuruan Regency DPRD, representatives from the Kodim 0819 Commander, representatives from the Police Chief, the Prosecutor’s Office, and the District Court, the Head of the Manpower Office, representatives from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the Chairperson of Apindo, the Chairperson of Kadin, leaders from BPJS, and representatives from various companies within the Pasuruan Regency area.
