PASTI Task Force Halts Activities of CANTVR and YUDIA

The Satgas Pemberantasan Aktivitas Keuangan Ilegal (PASTI) Task Force has officially halted two illegal business activities named CANTVR and YUDIA on Thursday, 21 May 2026. The decisive step was taken because the two entities are suspected of committing fraud by abusing the names of foreign companies and offering employment opportunities.

According to Detik Finance, CANTVR is suspected of operating fictitious stock investments, while YUDIA used the modus operandi of tasks involving watching Chinese dramas. Based on authorities’ findings, the operations of both apps did not have official licences from the relevant Indonesian authorities.

The halting was immediately followed by blocking the digital spaces of the two entities. PASTI also immediately took further legal action related to the alleged violations.

‘In relation to these findings, PASTI is halting the activities of CANTVR and YUDIA and will block access to the applications and/or related links (URLs). PASTI will also coordinate with law enforcement authorities for further enforcement actions,’ PASTI said in a written statement on Thursday, 21 May 2026.

The CANTVR entity was found to be riding on the name of the major American-Singaporean company Cantor Fitzgerald to attract public funds. The modus operandi involved asking investors to deposit funds for stock investments with escalating returns according to membership levels.

In addition to misusing the name of a foreign platform, CANTVR also enticed victims by offering the purchase of fictitious IPO shares at random. Members were then forced to contribute money to pay for the fake shares allocated.

Verification results show that CANTVR’s business activities were outside the licensing scope of the Ministry of Investment and Hilirisasi/BKPM. CANTVR’s app and its partner platform, Monexplora (MEX), were also found not to be registered as an Electronic System Operator (PSE) with the Ministry of Communications and Digital RI.

Meanwhile, YUDIA operated with a scheme of depositing funds through daily tasks of watching films and purchasing rights to Chinese dramas. Like CANTVR, YUDIA did not hold the necessary licences from the Ministry of Investment and Hilirisasi/BKPM and was not registered as an official PSE.
