Police have revealed the chronology of the pursuit of a Toyota Fortuner driver suspected of involvement in a narcotics case after he brazenly fled and committed a hit-and-run while resisting arrest. The escape attempt, which began with an arrest operation in Joglo, West Jakarta, culminated in a chase to the Puri Beta-Ciledug area and prompted local residents to shout ‘thief’.

The Patra Ki 4 Yon B Pelopor Team of the Brimob Unit at Polda Metro Jaya, together with the Precision Pioneer Patrol Team of the Metro North Jakarta Police, successfully thwarted a brawl on Jalan Beting Remaja, Tugu Utara, Koja, North Jakarta, in the early hours of Saturday (13/6). During the operation to establish public order, officers detained three youths strongly suspected of planning a brawl between rival groups.

A young man from Garut, West Java, with the initials DS (24), is suspected of being a victim of a scam under the guise of a job vacancy for a crew member on a squid fishing vessel in Muara Angke, North Jakarta. The victim, who was enticed by a job advertisement on social media, reported the incident to the police after discovering discrepancies in the information regarding the cash advance and the work fees charged to him.
