Passport Services at Jakarta CFD: Requirements, Procedures, and Locations
During the implementation of the Car Free Day (CFD) in the Sudirman-Thamrin area of Jakarta, various services are available to the public, including passport services. The Directorate General of Immigration has set up passport service booths at Jakarta’s Car Free Day (CFD) on Sunday, 24 June. However, CFD will be suspended on 31 May 2026 due to the Waisak holiday.
Eko Budianto, Director of Visas and Travel Documents at the Directorate General of Immigration, stated that public services are brought directly to community activity hubs. Besides facilitating access, the initiative aims to extend the reach of immigration services.
“On weekdays, people are busy with work and business activities, so we see this as a public demand and have opened services on Sundays,” said Director Eko Budianto, quoted on Thursday, 28 May.

Payment is made non-cash via banks, ATMs, marketplaces, or post offices after applicants receive a billing code during verification at the CFD site.
Is the passport issued on the spot at CFD? No. Only document verification, biometric data collection (photos and fingerprints), and interviews are conducted at CFD. The passport will be ready in 3-4 working days after payment and can be collected at the designated immigration office.
Can children’s passports be processed at CFD? Yes, provided quota is available and all required child documents (such as parents’ KTP and birth certificates) are brought.
What if I wear sportswear during CFD? You can still be served, but ensure you bring a collared shirt (not a t-shirt) for passport photos to meet official document standards. (H-4)
