Passport Applications in Bogor Now Available on Weekends: Here Are the Requirements
The Bogor Class I Non-TPI Immigration Office is opening passport application services on weekends through the MEDISA programme. This service provides access for the public who cannot process passports during weekdays. The programme is limited to expedited passports with a maximum quota of 50 applicants every Saturday. Head of the Bogor Immigration Office, Ritus Ramadhana, stated that this service is expected to keep the passport processing quick and measured. “We provide this service to give convenience to the public who have time limitations on weekdays. With a quota of 50 applicants every Saturday, we want to ensure the process remains quick and measured,” said Ritus. Registration is done through the M-Paspor application before coming to the office. Applicants must bring their e-KTP, old passport, and Rp10,000 stamp duty for passport replacement. In addition to weekend services, Bogor Immigration also introduces the WISTI innovation or fixed rest time serving. Through a rotating officer system, services continue without interruption during break times. Ritus said this innovation aims to cut down waiting times for the public. “We want to ensure the public still receives services without having to wait for the service hours to reopen. This is part of our commitment to providing fast and comfortable services,” said Ritus. He explained that Bogor Immigration also implements the Dharma Warga Bogor programme by directly visiting applicants who cannot come to the office, such as the elderly or patients. “Through this programme, we want to ensure immigration services reach all levels of society, including those with mobility limitations,” said Ritus. For expedited services, the electronic passport fee is set at Rp1,650,000 for a 5-year validity period and Rp1,950,000 for 10 years.
