TANGERANG — Passengers departing from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang have been advised to arrive at the airport at least three hours before their scheduled departure during the 2026 Lebaran holiday travel period.

Assistant Deputy for Communication and Legal Affairs at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Yudistiawan, stated that the advisory was issued in response to increased passenger traffic during the mudik (homecoming) season.

“Passengers are advised to arrive earlier, at least three hours before their scheduled departure, to anticipate potential congestion at the airport,” he said in an official statement on Sunday, 15 March 2026.

During the 2026 Lebaran transport period, total passenger movement at Soekarno-Hatta Airport is projected to reach 3,010,993 people, representing approximately a 2.22 per cent increase compared to the same period in 2025.

The Lebaran transport period spans 18 days, running from 13 March to 30 March 2026.

Nonetheless, Yudistiawan assured that airport operations will continue to run safely and smoothly. “All terminal facilities are in normal condition, and check-in counters are fully staffed by airline and ground handling personnel to serve passenger departure processes,” he said.

In addition to arriving early, passengers were also advised to confirm their departure schedule and terminal information to avoid potential terminal mix-ups.
