Passenger Numbers at Ngrombo Station in Central Java Rise 10 Percent During 2026 Eid Holidays

GROBOGAN, KOMPAS.com - Train passengers at Ngrombo Station in Grobogan Regency, Central Java, experienced an increase during the 2026 Eid holiday period, according to records from PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) (Persero).

Overall, train passengers in Grobogan Regency, Central Java, saw an increase both for mudik trips and return flows.

During that period, said Luqman, the number of train passengers at Ngrombo Station, Grobogan, totalled 46,672, consisting of 21,984 boarding passengers and 24,688 alighting passengers.

“It increased by 10 percent compared to the 2025 Eid transport,” said Luqman on Thursday (2/4/2026).

Luqman explained that during the mudik flow period, the highest number of passengers at Ngrombo Station occurred on Friday (20/3/2026) with 2,235 passengers.

Meanwhile, during the return flow period, it occurred on Monday (23/3/2026), with 2,931 passengers.

The transport capacity of Daop 4 trains during the 2026 Eid transport overall increased by four percent, namely from 408,368 seats in the 2025 Eid transport, jumping to 424,260 seats.

Meanwhile, the On Time Performance (OTP) for Daop 4 train departures was recorded at 99.50 percent for departures and 98.15 percent for arrivals.

“The total Daop 4 train departures from 11 March to 1 April 2026 numbered 746 trains, an increase of 1 percent compared to 2025,” said Luqman.

The favourite departure trains from Ngrombo Station are Ambarawa Ekspres, Airlangga, Kertajaya, Dharmawangsa, and Jayabaya.

Meanwhile, the Daop 4 train stations with the highest number of passengers during the 2026 Eid transport period are:
