High volatility is still likely to continue until the end of May.

KAI Commuter responded quickly to a female passenger who fell onto the train tracks at Manggarai Station, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (13/5) at 17:10 WIB. The victim fell onto track 3 after disembarking from Commuter Line No. 5132B, which runs from Angke to Cikarang, at track 4.

Manager of Public Relations at KAI Commuter, Leza Arlan, explained that the incident occurred while the passenger was walking towards the lift. “The passenger suddenly lost her balance and fell onto track 3,” Leza said, as reported by Antara on Friday (15/5).

Station security officers at the scene immediately carried out an evacuation to a safe area. The victim was then taken to the Manggarai Station Health Post to receive first aid before being referred to a hospital.

“Officers on the scene immediately and promptly evacuated the passenger and took her to the health post to receive initial treatment with officers at the station,” said Leza.

Based on initial examination, the passenger complained of pain in her right rib. To receive further medical treatment, KAI Commuter referred the victim to RS PGI Cikini.

In response to this incident, KAI Commuter advises all users of train transportation to always be vigilant and prioritize safety while in the station platform area.

“Do not rush, stay focused by not using mobile phones, and follow the directions of officers,” Leza emphasized. (Z-10)

Netty emphasized the importance of psychological support services for survivors and the families of victims.

Puan stated that this collision is a serious warning that the complexity of train tracks in metropolitan areas is very high.

To date, preliminary data records 14 fatalities and 79 injured victims who are still being treated in various hospitals.

Prima said that his party continues to investigate the identification process. So the results of the examination will be reported to the public further.
