Passenger Falls onto Railway Tracks at Manggarai Station: Here's What Happened

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – A video recording a woman falling from the platform onto the railway tracks at Manggarai Station, South Jakarta, has gone viral on social media. In the video, security personnel at the location immediately helped the victim who had fallen.

Manager of Public Relations at KAI Commuter, Leza Arlan, confirmed that a passenger on the KRL Commuter Line had fallen onto the railway tracks. She stated that the incident occurred at Manggarai Station on Wednesday (13/5/2026) at 17:10 WIB.

“The passenger had previously disembarked from Commuter Line No. 5132B, travelling from Angke to Cikarang, on platform four. While walking towards the lift, the passenger suddenly lost her balance and fell onto platform three,” said Leza in a press release in Jakarta, Friday (15/5/2026).

According to Leza, the security personnel at Manggarai Station, who were on duty in the platform area, immediately evacuated the passenger to a safe area. The passenger was then taken to the health post to receive treatment.

“Personnel at the scene immediately evacuated the passenger and took her to the health post to receive initial treatment with personnel at the station,” said Leza.
