Passenger Data for KMP Putri Yasmin Remains Confusing, Five People Still Missing

Data on the passengers of the KMP Putri Yasmin, which suffered a fire incident, remains confusing. According to the latest manifest, the whereabouts of five passengers are still unknown, and it is unclear whether they have been evacuated to Lembar Port, Padangbai Port, or are still adrift at sea.

Head of the Lombok Search and Rescue Office (Basarnas), Muhammad Haryadi, confirmed on Thursday (13/8/2026) that the SAR command post at Lembar Port still has five people recorded as missing. “According to the passenger manifest data, there are five people whose whereabouts are still unknown,” Haryadi stated.

Joint officers have conducted cross-checks at both evacuation ports, but the names have not been recorded on the survivor lists. The search is ongoing for the missing individuals.

In addition to local passengers, seven foreign nationals were involved in the incident, and all were reported safe. However, a discrepancy emerged regarding an Australian national named Aeleya Bee Tepaea. The name appears on the manifest but is not on the list of rescued foreign nationals.

Haryadi acknowledged that the passenger data for the KMP Putri Yasmin was chaotic. Preliminary investigations indicate a discrepancy of up to 56 people between the official manifest and the actual number of victims. This was caused by truck drivers bringing additional passengers or workers without officially reporting them on the manifest.

Joint personnel continue to comb the incident site with all available resources. Despite intensive search efforts since the morning, the SAR team reported that no additional victims have been found at sea.
