Pasporia Service Brings Passport Processing to Medan's Car-Free Day
The Class II TPI Belawan Immigration Office has introduced an immigration service innovation through the Pasporia (Paspor Ceria) programme during car free day (CFD) on Jalan Sumatera, Belawan I, Medan Belawan, Medan. The service offers an alternative for residents who are unable to process their passports on working days.
Through the Pasporia programme, members of the public can still access immigration services optimally at the weekend without disrupting their work schedules. The event also serves as a means of socialising and disseminating information about immigration services.
In its implementation, applicants are required to bring original and photocopied supporting documents to speed up the file verification process. All stages of the service, from document verification and interviews to biometric capture, proceeded in an orderly and smooth manner in accordance with applicable standard operating procedures.
The Head of the Class II TPI Belawan Immigration Office, Eko Yudis Parlin Rajagukguk, accompanied the Commander of Kodaeral I Belawan, Rear Admiral Deny Septiana, the Acting (Pj) Mayor of Medan, Rico Tri Putra Bayu Waas, and other Forkopimda officials during a visit to the Pasporia service booth. The delegation directly commended the delivery of public services outside the office.
The Commander of Kodaeral I Belawan, Rear Admiral Deny Septiana, expressed appreciation for the initiative of Belawan Immigration in taking part in the CFD activities. He hoped the collaboration would continue.
“In today’s car free day activities in the Belawan area, we would like to thank the colleagues from Immigration for their presence. We hope this collaboration will continue, and that the progress of Immigration becomes the responsibility of all of us, particularly for the people of Belawan. I am confident that going forward, our colleagues at Immigration will continue to carry out their duties well. Thank you,” said Deny.
Meanwhile, the Head of Belawan Immigration Office, Eko Yudis Parlin Rajagukguk, affirmed that Pasporia represents his institution’s commitment to improving the quality of public services whilst making access easier for the public.
“Through the Pasporia service, we are trying to provide an alternative service time for people who cannot process their passports on working days. We hope this innovation can provide convenience and deliver immigration services that are fast, easy, and professional,” said Eko.
According to him, the implementation of Pasporia is in line with the direction of the Director General of Immigration, Hendarsam Marantoko, to realise the spirit of ‘Immigration for the People’. The Class II TPI Belawan Immigration Office is committed to continually providing responsive and fast services, with a priority on service certainty for the public.
