Paspampres Sharpens Sniper and Motorcade Team Skills
The Presidential Security Force (Paspampres) has been sharpening the skills of its sniper units and Motorcade Rescue (Matan Motor) team. In a video uploaded to the official Instagram account @ppid.paspampres, it was explained that the training took place at the Bravo Unit Air Force Base in Rumpin, Bogor Regency, West Java, on Tuesday (14/7).
Paspampres Commander Major General TNI Edwin Adrian Sumantha confirmed that the exercise trained snipers to shoot from various distances, positions, and manoeuvres. “The sniper training was carried out in various shooting stances and target distance variations to sharpen accuracy, weapon mastery, and precision in every shot,” Edwin said.
According to Edwin, this capability is highly relevant to Paspampres’s duties when monitoring VVIP guests and ensuring the security of an area from a distance. For close-quarters security, the force sought to enhance the shooting skills of the Matan Motor team to provide the best possible protection to VIP guests. “The Matan Motor team also honed their abilities by conducting shooting drills from a stationary motorcycle,” Edwin added.
Edwin noted that the training proceeded smoothly and safely as it adhered to established safety standard procedures. Through this exercise, he hopes his troops will be increasingly prepared to carry out state duties in escort and security. “Paspampres ensures that every soldier maintains readiness, professionalism, and well-honed skills to meet every operational challenge and dynamic in the field,” Edwin stated.
