Paskibraka 'Indonesia Adil Makmur' completes lowering of Red and White flag
The Heritage Flag Hoisting Troop (Paskibraka) ‘Indonesia Adil Makmur’ completed the lowering of the Red and White flag in the grounds of Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, on Monday afternoon, as part of the 81st Anniversary of Indonesian Independence.
The name ‘Indonesia Adil Makmur’ was given to the Paskibraka team serving in the Flag Lowering Ceremony at Merdeka Palace.
Neeltje Deliana Insjowi Werimon, a Paskibraka member representing Papua Province, served as the tray bearer in the procession.
The student from SMA Negeri 8 Jayapura carried the Red and White flag after it was lowered and then handed it to President Prabowo Subianto.
In the Group 8 formation, Atanasius Meyllano Frans Yogar from East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), a student at SMA Katolik Giovanni Kupang, served as Commander of Group 8.
Maharazthu Rizqhy Ramadhana Chubuyana from West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), a student at SMAN 1 Taliwang, served as the flag hoister.
Meanwhile, Mirza Rafi Navazani from West Kalimantan, a student at SMAN 1 Sintang, served as the flag unfurler.
The Paskibraka Company Commander role was entrusted to Captain Penerbang Bagus Setianto, who serves daily as Head of Flight Operations FGS, Air Squadron 5, Wing 5, Sultan Hasanuddin Air Base.
After the Red and White flag was lowered, President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka witnessed the procession returning the Red and White flag and the Proclamation manuscript from Merdeka Palace to the National Monument.
Members of the public attending the ceremony were then invited to remain in the grounds of Merdeka Palace to take photographs and enjoy traditional Indonesian food and drink provided in the Presidential Palace area.
