The Special Committee (Pansus) III of the Paser Regency DPRD is accelerating the refinement of the Draft Regional Regulation (Raperda) on Investment Implementation (PPM). This step was taken to ensure the regional legislation aligns with central government policies. Pansus III Chairman Kasri directly led the coordination meeting with the Deputy for Investment Climate Development at the Ministry of Investment/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) in Jakarta on Wednesday (13/05/2026). Kasri asserted that this coordination was crucial for enriching the substance of the Raperda before its enactment. He expressed hope that this regulation would become a strong legal umbrella for creating a conducive investment climate in Paser Regency. ‘The presence of this regulation is expected to attract more investors and encourage sustainable regional economic growth,’ Kasri said during the meeting. The meeting was also attended by other Pansus III members, namely Indra Pardian, Hamsi, Sultan Surya Pasya, Lasminah, Agus Santosa, and Nurhayati. Meanwhile, from the executive side, Sutrisno R attended as a representative of the Paser Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Office (DPMPTSP). The Paser DPRD delegation was received by the Director of Regional Potential Development at BKPM, Suhartono. In his directives, Suhartono stressed that the drafting of the Raperda must be based on an in-depth study of the leading sectors in Paser Regency. ‘The drafting of the Raperda must meet scientific standards and consider local potential comprehensively,’ Suhartono said. In addition, he reminded that the material of the Raperda should be compared with regulations in other regions to avoid overlapping or conflicting with central government rules. With a mature regulation, Paser Regency is believed to have higher competitiveness in attracting both national and international investors. Paser Regency is currently aggressively promoting itself as a Sport Tourism destination; this programme will naturally align with the Raperda on Investment Implementation being drafted by the Paser DPRD.
