Pasar Minggu's Lokbin to Be Revitalised, Integrated with Main Market

The South Jakarta City Government plans to revitalise the location binaan (Lokbin) area of Pasar Minggu by connecting it to the main market complex to ensure better integration. The revitalisation is intended to ease access for traders and buyers, thereby reviving commercial activity in the Lokbin, which has been quiet with many stalls left abandoned. According to traders, the low number of visitors is due to the Lokbin area not being directly connected to the centre of buying and selling activity at Pasar Minggu. This condition has made it difficult for some traders to find buyers, leading them to stop opening their stalls daily. Traders hope the revitalisation will create a more organised, comfortable, and easily accessible area for the public. With the integration of the Lokbin and the main market, traders hope that economic activity will grow again and their sales will increase.
