Pasar Minggu tidied up

Pasar Minggu tidied up

From Warta Kota

Jl. Pasar Minggu Raya and its market have had a facelift of late. While the road used to be packed with vendors and messy, it is now neat and clean. The phone booth once hidden in the midst of crowds of sellers is now accessible, and it is now easier to park in front of the market, when previously, it was very difficult for cars to even pass through the area.

The slum-like, mishmash state of Pasar Minggu in the past was not only dirty, but also caused congestion along the road from Jakarta to Depok and vice versa.

So, Pasar Minggu can actually be tidied up and is ready to compete with other shopping centers in Jakarta.

The problem is perhaps the fate of the vendors, who used to sell their goods there. This is the next issue of home affairs for the South Jakarta municipal administration to tackle.
