Jakarta (ANTARA) — Indonesia’s Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform, Rini Widyantini, visited Pasar Minggu Public Hospital in South Jakarta, which will continue to serve patients around the clock throughout the 2026 Lebaran holiday.

“Based on information from the Head of the East Jakarta Provincial Health Office and the Hospital Director, this hospital will operate 24 hours a day, except on certain public holidays for outpatient services,” Rini said during her inspection of Pasar Minggu Public Hospital in South Jakarta on Monday.

Rini stated that the visit to Pasar Minggu Public Hospital was to review and ensure that public services continue to function optimally during the joint holiday period, both in commemoration of Nyepi Day and in anticipation of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah.

“As is known, the joint holiday period has already begun today. We will enter a holiday period of approximately two weeks ahead of Eid al-Fitr,” she said.

Today, she wished to ensure that the hospital continues to provide optimal services despite the joint holiday period.

“The public need not worry because doctors and medical staff here are always ready to provide services,” she said.

Rini added that one noteworthy feature in Jakarta is the ease of online registration, so patients need not queue for long and overcrowding at hospitals can be minimised. This is evidenced by Pasar Minggu Public Hospital having received an award for excellent service and the status of Integrity Zone from the Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform, an extraordinary achievement.

If services are inadequate, they should be reported, and if good, they should be conveyed as appreciation. “Additionally, there is a national portal through the website www.lapor.go.id where the public can report any issues related to government services,” she said.

Regarding evaluation, she observed that the service flow at Pasar Minggu Public Hospital is already very comfortable, including the provision of dedicated services for elderly and children, from registration to the pharmacy department.

“We hope this hospital will continue to improve its services, especially as this hospital is one of the special referral centres for cancer treatment in the Jakarta region,” she said.

At the district level, there are 44 health centres, and at the village level, 290 health centres are ready to serve. Health centres in Jakarta have 24-hour services that continue to operate seven days a week throughout the holiday period.

Additionally, there are 31 public hospitals ready to serve. Emergency units and several other critical services will remain open 24 hours a day.

“We are also placing 96 emergency ambulances stationed at various points to provide quick healthcare access, both for pre-hospital treatment and inter-facility health service transportation,” she said.
