Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil) Sector of Pasar Minggu Sub-district, South Jakarta, has introduced an innovation called the Electronic Information-Based Community Population Administration Management System (Simas Gesit) to make it easier for residents to handle population administration matters.

“Simas Gesit is designed to make it easier for residents to access population administration services without always having to visit the sub-district office in person,” Pasar Minggu Sub-district Dukcapil Sector head Anneke Iriany Fauzie said in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Anneke said the web-based service was introduced to help the public manage population administration (adminduk) online while improving service quality.

South Jakarta Dukcapil has also regularly promoted the Simas Gesit online service among local communities, particularly during neighbourhood activities.

Anneke said the innovation aims to speed up the issuance of population documents and make services easier to access.

Residents can submit applications using their smartphones by visiting https://kependudukancapil.jakarta.go.id/pasarminggu/index.php/logins.

“Through this service, residents can apply for birth certificates, replacement Child Identity Cards (KIA) if theirs are lost or damaged, or KIA renewals. The service also covers marriage certificate applications for non-Muslim residents,” she said.

She added that neighbourhood association (RT and RW) administrators can also request outreach services for the issuance of Digital Population Identity (IKD).

“Neighbourhood administrators can also provide information or request outreach services for residents with special needs and people with disabilities in their area,” she said.

Anneke said that, to continue improving public services, the Pasar Minggu Sub-district Dukcapil Sector was also collaborating with the South Jakarta Dukcapil Sub-agency through an initiative called Laksa Betawi.

She hopes Simas Gesit will reduce queues at the service counters at the sub-district office.

By providing a convenient, fast service that can be accessed from anywhere, the initiative is expected to help residents obtain the population documents they need.

“We hope this innovation can ease overcrowding at the sub-district counters and provide a convenient, fast service that can be accessed from anywhere. We also hope residents will become more aware of the importance of orderly population administration,” she said.
