Parts of Jakarta to experience rain throughout the day

Parts of Jakarta are forecast to be drenched by rain throughout Thursday, according to the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG). Several areas are expected to experience rainy weather all day, including West Jakarta, Central Jakarta and North Jakarta. South Jakarta will be mostly overcast in the morning and into the day, with rain continuing into the night. East Jakarta will begin with rain into the evening and then become overcast. The Thousand Islands (Kepulauan Seribu) are forecast to be heavily overcast followed by rain for the day. BMKG estimated the air temperature in DKI Jakarta to range from 24 to 30 degrees Celsius, with wind speeds between 11 and 32 kilometres per hour. The Jakarta Provincial Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) urged residents to stay alert for potential flooding due to rainfall and to contact emergency services 112 immediately if an emergency occurs. The service is available free of charge 24 hours a day.
