Partnering with ASG, Open University and Cipondoh Salut Select Scholarships for 200 High School Graduates

The rigorous selection process for 200 high school graduates to receive higher education scholarships at Universitas Terbuka (UT) is set to be completed soon.

This programme is the result of a collaboration between Universitas Terbuka (UT) in the Serang region and Sentra Layanan Universitas Terbuka (Salut) Cipondoh, Tangerang, Banten, together with Agung Sedayu Group (ASG).

This concrete step represents a tangible manifestation of collaboration between the private sector and educational institutions in breaking the chain of barriers to access due to education costs and flexibility for the community.

The head of SALUT Cipondoh, Dina Mulyana, expressed her appreciation for ASG’s commitment, which has given full trust to her team and the Director of UT Serang, Dr Ajat Sudrajat, to select potential students, with the process commencing in 2025.

According to Dina, education is the primary foundation in building competencies and independence of human resources amid global competition.

She stated that Universitas Terbuka provides a solution to challenges of distance and time through its distance learning system.

“We greatly appreciate ASG for realising that improving the quality of human resources is a shared responsibility between organisations and the community,” said Dina in her statement on Tuesday (28/4/2026).

Dina added that this scholarship programme is a follow-up to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on 10 November 2025 between the Rector of UT, Prof Ali Muktiyanto, and the President Director of Agung Sedayu Group, Lieutenant General TNI (Mar) (Retd) Dr Nono Sampono.
