PT Asuransi MSIG Indonesia (MSIG Indonesia) has reaffirmed its commitment to delivering more relevant, easily accessible, and technology-based travel protection solutions.

Vice President Director of MSIG Indonesia, Bernardus P. Wanandi, stated that this aligns with MSIG Asia’s strategic partnership with Ancileo, a Singapore-based travel insurance technology company.

“This initiative strengthens MSIG Indonesia’s capabilities in addressing the protection needs of a increasingly mobile and dynamic society,” said Bernardus in his statement on Monday, 4 May 2026.

Through this partnership, MSIG and Ancileo will offer more personalised, intuitive, and easily accessible travel protection, with a simpler claims process.

This solution is directly integrated into the travel booking process, whether through airlines, online travel agents (OTAs), or other platforms, allowing customers to obtain seamless protection when planning their trips.

He explained that Ancileo’s role in this collaboration is key in connecting MSIG’s insurance products with various travel platforms. Through its technology, Ancileo enables direct integration between travel booking systems and insurance services, allowing protection to be delivered more efficiently and consistently across various markets.

“This approach also enables travel partners to offer protection services more quickly, without the complex integration processes of the past,” he said.

Bernardus added that this integrated approach is increasingly relevant to the Indonesian market, where public mobility is dominated by high levels of domestic travel. Amid global dynamics affecting international travel, domestic trips continue to show positive trends.

Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the number of domestic tourist trips in February 2026 reached approximately 91.14 million, an increase compared to the same period in the previous year. This reflects that domestic travel activity remains strong and is a primary driver of public mobility.

In this context, MSIG Indonesia sees that the need for travel protection is not limited to international journeys but is also increasingly important for everyday domestic trips. With over five decades of experience, MSIG Indonesia continues to innovate in expanding service access and simplifying customer experiences, from policy purchases to claims processing.
