Participants Who Passed the Selection for the Joang 45 Flag-Raising Troop Receive Further Training
Chairperson of the Joang 45 Alumni Association, Citra Ratih Indriani, stated that the program consists of regular training sessions twice a week for two months. “Participants who pass the second selection stage will undergo education and training for approximately 2.5 months. The program includes regular training sessions twice a week for two months, as well as intensive training for 10 days leading up to Indonesia’s Independence Day,” Citra said in a written statement on Sunday (May 17, 2026).
The interest of participants in participating in the selection process is quite high. This is because the Joang 45 Flag-Raising Troop certificate is recognised as an added value in the SPMB (State University Entrance Selection) process for the highly competitive category at the DKI Jakarta provincial level.
“This is a major motivation for participants and their parents. In addition to fostering disciplined and leadership characters, experience as part of the Joang 45 Flag-Raising Troop also receives recognition in the SPMB process. This means that their efforts have a real impact on their future education,” she explained.
The Joang 45 Alumni Association hopes that this activity can continue to be a space for developing young people who are able to carry the spirit of the 1945 struggle in their daily lives, both in school and in society.
“These children are expected to become examples of young people who are disciplined, resilient, diligent, and never give up. These are the values that we want to continue to cultivate through the Joang 45 Flag-Raising Troop,” Citra concluded.
