Participants Enthusiastic to Learn Financial Management at JFF 2026 Educational Class
The Educational Class has become one of the most anticipated sessions within the Jogja Financial Festival (JFF) 2026 series, specifically focusing on financial management education. The event took place on the second floor of the Jogja Expo Center (JEC), Bantul, on Saturday (23/5/2026). The turnout was so significant that the hundreds of prepared seats were insufficient to accommodate all attendees.
Despite having to stand, dozens of participants remained enthusiastic while listening to the presentation delivered by Diah Charmaningtyas, Branch Manager of the UGM Branch Office. The class, themed ‘Financial Management for Sustainable Growth’, focused on methods for achieving secure and sustainable financial management.
During the session, participants shared their personal experiences with saving and investing. One participant, a scholarship recipient from the Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDPKS), shared that she has been saving in both bank accounts and gold since 2020. Another attendee, who has been investing in stocks since 2017, noted that his motivation to attend the Jogja event stemmed from previous financial seminars held in Jakarta and Medan.
In her presentation, Diah Charmaningtyas engaged the audience by discussing the challenges young people face when beginning to invest and manage their monthly allowances. She detailed the seven fundamental principles of financial management and emphasised the importance of managing expenditures effectively. Diah stressed the necessity of regular budget monitoring, stating, ‘An accountable person is someone who checks their budget. By diligently checking our budget, we understand our cash flow.’
