The Secretary of Mataram City, Lalu Alwan Basri, responded to reports regarding the unpaid March salaries of part-time Pegawai Pemerintah dengan Perjanjian Kerja (PPPK) under the Mataram City Government, which have yet to be disbursed this week. He stated that salaries for part-time PPPK are paid at the end of each month.

“Actually, we are in a dilemma, why? Should we pay the part-time PPPK before they work or after? Since they are on contract, from the start, we will pay at the end,” said Alwan when contacted on Friday (27/3/2026).

“The March salary has indeed not been received yet. But clearly, January-February have been paid, only March is pending,” he added.

Alwan explained that employees with PNS status and full-time PPPK receive salaries at the beginning of the month. Meanwhile, part-time PPPK only receive salaries at the end of the month, based on the contract period. This means part-time PPPK receive wages only after completing their work.

“Work first, then get the salary. At the beginning of April, we will provide the salary for March. This also applies to TPK,” said Alwan.

Previously reported, several part-time PPPK under the Mataram City Government complained about their March salaries that have not been disbursed. Some of them admitted to being confused and having to borrow money to meet daily needs.

The Head of the Regional Financial Agency (BKD) of Mataram City, Muhamad Ramayoga, also responded to the complaints from part-time PPPK who have not yet received this month’s salary. Ramayoga assured that the Mataram City Government will soon resolve the administrative issues.

According to Ramayoga, the delay in disbursing part-time PPPK salaries depends on how quickly the administrative processes are completed by each OPD. “As long as the OPD has submitted, we will process it. Insyaallah, if they submit now, we will disburse it soon,” Yoga emphasised.

The salary amounts for part-time PPPK in Mataram City vary. The lowest salary, equivalent to village-level employees, is set at Rp 1.5 million per month.
