Parliamentary Journalists' Coordinating Body Partners with Bank Mandiri to Distribute 2,000 Food Packages
The Koordinatoriat Wartawan Parlemen (KWP) in collaboration with Bank Mandiri is distributing 2,000 food aid packages ahead of Eid al-Fitr 2026. The aid is primarily distributed to the general public, reaching even remote areas.
“KWP is distributing 2,000 food aid packages to the general public, such as orphans, the elderly, and other groups,” said Ariawan in his statement in Jakarta on Thursday.
He emphasised that this food-sharing activity is a form of KWP’s concern for the social conditions of the community. According to him, the action is expected to provide real benefits to the recipients.
“This is a form of our empathy towards fellow human beings, while also showing that journalists also have social concern,” he said.
In addition, Ariawan assessed that this activity serves as proof that the role of journalists is not limited to conveying information to the public, but also participating in community social activities.
“It is hoped that fellow journalists not only carry out reporting duties, but can also contribute through aid such as food packages and school supplies,” he stated.
