The Indonesian House of Representatives has received a letter from the President concerning candidates for the Board of Commissioners of the Financial Services Authority (OJK). The DPR will conduct a fitness and propriety test for the OJK Board of Commissioners candidates.

“Honourable members of the House, distinguished guests. We would like to inform you that the leadership of the House has received a letter from the President of the Republic of Indonesia number R-09 dated 9 March 2026, regarding candidates for the Board of Commissioners of the Financial Services Authority, or OJK,” said DPR Speaker Puan Maharani during a plenary session at the parliament complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Tuesday (10/3/2026).

Puan subsequently requested approval from all parliamentary factions for the fitness and propriety test to be conducted in DPR Commission XI. The session participants approved the request.

“We request approval from the factions that the discussion of candidates for the Board of Commissioners of the Financial Services Authority be assigned to DPR Commission XI. May this be approved?” asked Puan.

“Approved,” replied the session participants.

Puan also requested approval for the results of the fitness and propriety test to be presented to the plenary session on Thursday (12/3) the day after tomorrow. The session participants again approved the request.

“Furthermore, we also request approval from all factions that the report from DPR Commission XI regarding the fitness and propriety test of candidates for the Board of Commissioners of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) shall be continued with a decision-making session to be scheduled during the plenary session on Thursday, 12 March 2026. May this be approved?” asked Puan, to which the session participants responded in approval.

It is known that 20 names of candidates for the Board of Commissioners (ADK) of OJK have been released by the Selection Committee for the Selection of Replacement ADK Candidates for OJK. The 20 names have passed the first stage of selection.

The OJK Board of Commissioners selection was conducted following the resignation of three senior OJK officials in late January 2026. Three vacant positions will subsequently be filled.
