Parliament Receives Three Presidential Letters from Prabowo Covering Legislation and Economic Agreement

Jakarta — The Chair of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, disclosed that Parliament has received three presidential letters from President Prabowo Subianto.

“We need to inform you that the leadership of the chamber has received letters from the President,” Puan said during the 16th plenary session of the DPR for the fourth parliamentary session of 2025-2026 held at Parliament on Thursday, 12 March 2026.

Among the three presidential letters received, one concerns a Bill on Cyber Security and Resilience.

“R-07, concerning the bill on cyber security and resilience,” said Puan.

“(Third) R-08, concerning the plan for ratification of approval of the comprehensive economic partnership agreement between the Government of the Republic of Indonesia and the Government of Canada,” she continued.

Puan emphasised that these letters will be followed up by the DPR.

“In accordance with the provisions of the DPR Regulation Number 1 of 2020 concerning Standing Orders and applicable mechanisms,” Puan stated.
