Parliament Questions Use of Coretax “Jockeys” for Filing Annual Tax Returns

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The use of paid services for filling out annual tax returns (SPT) through the tax system, which is rampant on social media, has come under scrutiny by Commission XI of the House of Representatives (DPR RI).

Golkar cadre in Commission XI, Puteri Komarudin, during a working meeting with the Ministry of Finance on Monday (6/4/2026), explained that many parties are taking advantage of the public’s confusion in accessing Coretax to offer paid SPT annual reporting services.

“And if we look recently, there are those who are taking advantage of the public’s confusion to the point of offering Coretax reporting jockey services,” said Puteri.

Therefore, according to her, the Directorate General of Taxes under the Ministry of Finance needs to carry out more detailed and massive education on the features in the Coretax system. This way, the public can report their annual SPT independently and not give opportunities to unscrupulous individuals to exploit citizens’ confusion.

“We want more detailed and massive education regarding the features of Coretax, how to report, what if there is overpayment or underpayment, what if they feel burdened, and so on that causes confusion and is exploited by irresponsible parties,” she said.

As is known, many parties offer SPT annual filling services ranging from individuals, entities, Coretax activation to financial reporting preparation.

The fees charged for these services vary from Rp50,000 to Rp100,000 depending on the type of annual SPT.
