Parliament Plenary Session Approves Five New OJK Leadership Members
The House of Representatives approved five members of the Board of Commissioners of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) for the 2026-2031 term. The five new leaders were selected following fitness and propriety testing conducted by Commission XI of the DPR.
During the plenary session, Commission XI Chairman Mukhamad Misbakhun reported the results of the fitness and propriety testing held on Wednesday, 11 March 2026. “On Wednesday, 11 March 2026, through an internal Commission XI meeting, we decided by consensus to approve five names as candidates for the OJK Board of Commissioners for the 2026-2031 term,” he stated at DPR headquarters on Thursday, 12 March 2026.
The five appointees are Friderica Widyasari Dewi as Chairman of the Board of Commissioners; Hernawan Bekti Sasongko as Vice Chairman of the OJK Board of Commissioners; and Hasan Fawzi as Executive Head of Capital Markets, Derivative Finance, and Carbon Exchange Supervision.
Also appointed were Adi Budiarso as Executive Head of Financial Sector Technology Innovation, Digital Financial Assets, and Crypto Asset Supervision; and Dicky Kartikoyono as Executive Head of Financial Services Business Conduct, Education, and Consumer Protection Supervision.
DPR Chairman Puan Maharani then requested approval from parliamentary members regarding the fitness and propriety testing results. “Can the Commission XI DPR RI report on the discussion results of the fit and proper test for the OJK Board of Commissioners candidates be approved?” asked Puan. Meeting participants responded in agreement.
The selection of new commissioners was conducted after four OJK officials resigned in late January 2026 following the Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) announcement. The fitness and propriety testing included ten OJK Board of Commissioners candidates: Friderica Widyasari Dewi, Agus Sugiarto, Hernawan Bekti Sasongko, Ary Zulfikar, Hasan Fawzi, Darmansyah, Dicky Kartikoyono, Danu Febrianto, Adi Budiarso, and Anton Daryono.
