Parliament Appreciates Komdigi for Successfully Maintaining Telecommunications During Ramadan-Eid
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Deputy Chairman of Commission I of the House of Representatives, Dave Laksono, has conveyed high appreciation to the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs for successfully maintaining the smooth connectivity of telecommunications services during the Ramadan to Eid al-Fitr 2026 period. Dave stated that during the Eid mudik momentum, public needs for telecommunications services increase significantly, both for voice communication, internet access, and the use of frequencies supporting various digital services. “Well-maintained connectivity during Ramadan and Eid not only supports the smooth communication of the public but also strengthens the sense of security and comfort in carrying out worship and mudik traditions,” said Dave in Jakarta on Thursday. He emphasised that the success in maintaining network stability and frequency security constitutes the government’s commitment to ensuring that the public can remain connected with their families and activities in a smooth and safe manner. In addition, he stressed that the continuity of efforts to strengthen telecommunications infrastructure across all regions of Indonesia is crucial. According to him, equitable internet access and orderly frequency management will serve as the foundation for national digital transformation, while also supporting communication resilience during critical periods. Dave added that the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr momentum serves as proof that collaboration between the government, operators, and the public can maintain the stability of telecommunications services. “Going forward, Commission I of the House of Representatives will continue to push for policy strengthening and oversight so that digital connectivity becomes increasingly inclusive, secure, and competitive,” he said.
