Palu – Parigi Moutong Regent Erwin Burase presented an investment opportunity for an integrated dairy cattle project during an online Zoom meeting with the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM and Bank Indonesia. The presentation, held at the Gawalise Room on the third floor of the Swiss-Belhotel on Friday (9 October 2026), followed the project’s selection in the curation process for the Investment Project to Offer (IPRO), run by Bank Indonesia and the ministry. Parigi Moutong was named among the six leading national IPRO projects.

The six regions with projects selected for presentation were North Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, Jakarta, West Java and Central Sulawesi, represented by Parigi Moutong Regency.

Parigi Moutong submitted two projects: coconut cultivation and an integrated dairy cattle farm. The dairy project made the top six and was given the opportunity to be presented.

The proposed dairy development would cover areas in the sub-districts of South Parigi, Torue and Sausu, with around 35,157 hectares of potential land. The initial phase is planned as a demonstration farm of approximately four hectares.

Regent Erwin also outlined the milk market potential, which he said could support the project. Potential buyers include the needs of 18 Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG) in Parigi Moutong and local nutrition programmes; hotels and restaurants along the Palu-to-Tomini Bay corridor; and national dairy-processing industries that require supplies from outside Java.

To support the investment, Erwin said the local government was committed to providing certainty over land. If land disputes with residents arise, the government will help resolve them before investors begin construction.

Acting head of the Parigi Moutong Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Agency (DPMPTSP), Moko Ariyanto, said the presentation was part of preparations for the National Investment Forum (FIN). At the forum, Parigi Moutong will also have the opportunity to open a booth to introduce the integrated dairy cattle project to prospective investors.

The event was also attended by the head of the Regional Development Planning, Research and Innovation Agency (Bappelitbangda), acting heads of the Communications and Informatics Agency, Livestock Agency, DPMPTSP and Public Works, Spatial Planning and Housing Agency (PUPRP), the regency’s head of co-operation, and the Central Sulawesi DPMPTSP’s head of division.

Through the IPRO project promotion, the Parigi Moutong Regency Government aims to widen investment opportunities, develop the livestock sector and boost the regional economy by making use of local resources.
