Parigi Moutong launches 112 emergency service
The Parigi Moutong Regency Government in Central Sulawesi has launched the 112 emergency service as part of efforts to strengthen public services and the handling of emergency situations for the community.
“This service is important so that people throughout Parigi Moutong Regency can obtain assistance when facing emergency conditions. The service operates 24 hours a day,” said Parigi Moutong Regent Erwin Burase after the launch of the 112 emergency service in Parigi on Monday.
He said that after the launch, the Parigi Moutong Regency Government immediately conducted a trial to ensure that 112 can become a solution in helping to strengthen public services.
The 112 service is a collaboration between the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs and the Parigi Moutong Regency Government to strengthen services to the public across various sectors.
“In terms of infrastructure, we are ready, so the service could be launched to coincide with the 81st anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia,” he said.
Through the launch of the service, the Parigi Moutong Regency Government is encouraging the public to use the single emergency number wisely, particularly for emergency purposes, so that every report can be handled quickly, accurately and in a coordinated manner.
“We hope the public will use this government service wisely for emergencies,” said Erwin.
Meanwhile, Agung Setio Utomo, a representative of the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, expressed appreciation for the Parigi Moutong Regency Government’s commitment to providing the single emergency number service.
He explained that the 112 service is an emergency call number that the public can access free of charge, without credit, to obtain assistance in various emergency conditions.
“In emergency situations, please make use of number 112 for assistance. The service has been integrated among local government agencies,” he said.
