Parents Value JMFF 2026 as More Than Just a Playground for Children

The third day of the Junior Miners Fun Fest (JMFF) 2026 at Avenue of the Stars, Lippo Mall Kemang, continued to draw crowds on Saturday (4/7/2026). Children took turns trying various attractions such as the Mining Zone, Excavator Real Simulator, Tunnel Laser, and Mining Builder, while queues of parents registering their children kept growing. Chilla (33), a Jakarta resident, admitted she did not expect the event to be so well-organized, especially since all activities were free of charge. “The event is free and you get a goodie bag if you complete all the missions. It’s the best!” Chilla said. Weny Ardianti (37), a resident of Depok, noted that the stamp collection system encouraged children to try all available attractions. She felt the concept allowed children not only to play but also to gain new knowledge. “It’s really fun to be a junior miner for a day. Collecting stamps by trying the fun attractions means the kids aren’t just playing, but also learning a bit about the mining world,” she said. Yunita (33) shared a similar sentiment. Despite having to queue for quite a while, she felt the experience her child gained was well worth the wait. Psychologist Ulfa Nurida explained that events like JMFF provide children with a space for exploration that is essential for recognizing their interests and talents. “When we talk about interests and talents, it relates to their future. We, as parents, need to provide opportunities for children to explore in a directed manner,” Ulfa said during a talk show session. She added that direct experience helps children understand what they enjoy and what challenges they face when trying new things. Ulfa also noted that the children’s enthusiasm was a positive signal that experience-based learning can drive curiosity and help children recognize their potential. JMFF 2026, organized by MIND ID and its Group members, is open to the public free of charge and runs until 5 July 2026 at Lippo Mall Kemang.
