A parent has appealed directly to Vice President Gibran Rakabuming for improved school facilities during his visit to Ende, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). The parent voiced concerns about the condition of the safety barrier at the children’s learning area. “We ask for help with the school fence because here we still use damar wood and bamboo for the school fence,” the parent told the Vice President. In response, the Vice President confirmed that the school’s requirements would be incorporated into the school revitalisation programme initiated by President Prabowo Subianto. The Vice President added that his office would include the school’s proposal in the development agenda. Earlier, the Vice President also inspected SMP Negeri 1 Ndona, which continues to face various infrastructure limitations. The school reportedly still struggles with access to cellular networks and the internet, clean water availability, fencing, and information and communication technology (ICT) facilities.
