Parents, children flock to malls for school gear

BANJARMASIN, South Kalimantan: With the new school year only a
few weeks away, parents and children have begun flooding shopping
malls here in search of books and school uniforms.

Rachmah, a parent, said she had to spend about Rp 500,000 a
child to buy books, new school uniforms and shoes.

The resident of North Banjarmasin has two children, both at
