The implementation of the New Student Admission System (SPMB) for the 2025/2026 Academic Year in South Tangerang City has received a positive response from parents of prospective students. Besides being considered to have an easy-to-understand flow, the registration system on the SPMB website also ran stably despite being accessed simultaneously by many users during registration opening hours. One parent, Umar, a resident of Setu District, admitted that his child’s registration process went smoothly from the account creation stage, uploading required documents, to the announcement of SPMB stage 1 via the domicile route. He registered his child for SMP Negeri 8 South Tangerang and successfully passed through the domicile route. “I was initially worried because usually when registration opens simultaneously, the system tends to be slow or even inaccessible. But it turned out this time it was quite smooth. The menu is also clear, so we parents do not have too much difficulty following each stage. And alhamdulillah, my child was also accepted at the intended school,” he said in South Tangerang on Saturday (27/6). According to Umar, the information available on the SPMB page also helps parents understand the stages that must be carried out without having to repeatedly visit the school. “The instructions are quite complete. If you follow the steps carefully, the process is easy to understand. Alhamdulillah, we experienced no significant obstacles until completing the registration,” he added. Meanwhile, the Head of the South Tangerang Communication and Informatics Office, Tb. Asep Nurdin, stated that the system’s success in remaining stable during registration was the result of various technical preparations carried out before the SPMB implementation. “We strengthened the digital infrastructure, conducted thorough system testing, and monitored the process during the SPMB so that the public could access the service comfortably,” he said. Asep added that the preparations and anticipatory measures were designed to ensure the service remained stable despite a surge in simultaneous access.
