Interest among parents in education that integrates academic strengthening with Islamic values is showing a positive trend. This is evident from the high level of public enthusiasm in seeking information and enrolling children in schools based on integrated Islamic education.

One institution noting this high interest is Syafana Islamic School. As of late August 2026, almost 1,000 prospective students had registered after the online registration for the 2027-2028 academic year opened on 15 August 2026.

The Managing Director of Syafana Islamic School, Dr H. Nanang Firdaus Masduki, stated that the high public interest is one of the reasons the school continues to provide opportunities for prospective parents to obtain direct information regarding the implemented educational system.

“We are organising this Open Day to provide in-depth information about the programmes and student instruction at the school,” said Nanang during the Open Day for New Student Registration for the 2027-2028 Academic Year on Saturday (29/8/2026).

The event was attended by more than 500 prospective parents. They received information regarding educational programmes, learning processes, and various aspects considered before deciding on a school for their children.

The Chief of Public Relations and Marketing Communications at Syafana Islamic School, Sayyidah Fenti Pardini, noted that the number of applicants approaching 1,000 demonstrates the high level of public attention towards the offered educational programmes.

According to her, current parental needs are not only related to academic achievement. Aspects of character building and Islamic values are also key considerations when choosing an educational environment for children.

To expand access to information for the public, Syafana Islamic School will hold further school introduction activities at several locations. The next Open Day is scheduled to take place at Kindergarten Gading Serpong, Graha Raya, and The Icon BSD on 17 October 2026. A similar event will also be held at Kindergarten Cilegon on 24 October 2026.

Additionally, Syafana Islamic School will participate in edu-fair activities at Summarecon Mall Serpong from 8-13 September 2026 and AEON Mall from 17-22 November 2026.

Fenti stated that this series of activities is part of the school’s effort to provide opportunities for prospective parents to learn more about the educational programmes before making a final decision on their child’s schooling.
