ParagonCorp’s commitment to building a culture of usefulness through active employee involvement has earned regional recognition. Its Paragonian Bergerak programme won a Gold Award in the Excellence in ESG & CSR Initiatives category.

The award was presented at The Economic Times Human Capital Awards (ETHCA) Southeast Asia 2026 on 24 July 2026 at One Farrer Hotel, Singapore. It was given for practices judged successful in connecting social contribution with human resource development.

This approach encourages employees to become key actors in creating a positive impact on society. The event was contested by hundreds of organisations from five Southeast Asian countries: Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines.

The selection process was rigorous, involving document evaluation and assessment by a Grand Jury composed of Chief Human Resources Officers (CHROs) and independent business leaders from across Southeast Asia.

The Paragonian Bergerak programme ran from August to December 2025 and involved more than 14,000 employees. Its reach spanned 45 operational locations, from head office and factories to 43 branch offices from Aceh to Ternate. All employees were given equal opportunity to take part in various social activities.

A total of 151 initiatives were carried out under the Paragonian Bergerak programme throughout 2025. These initiatives included education on stunting prevention, assistance for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), and coastal ecosystem rehabilitation through mangrove planting.

This experiential learning approach brought company values such as Collaboration, Ownership and Integrity into daily practice. The experience of leading cross-functional social projects became part of a learning process that strengthened employees’ character.

Astri Wahyuni, Director of Corporate Affairs at ParagonCorp, explained that usefulness is something every Paragonian should experience. She wants every employee to have the opportunity to be directly involved in creating a positive impact on society.

“At Paragon, we believe that usefulness is not only something the company produces, but also something every Paragonian must experience. Through Paragonian Bergerak, we want everyone at ParagonCorp, whatever their role, to have the chance to be directly involved in creating a positive impact on society. We believe that when someone feels their work is connected to a greater purpose, they not only grow as an individual, but also as a leader capable of driving change. This recognition encourages us to continue strengthening our culture of usefulness as part of Paragon’s journey to grow together with society,” said Astri in her statement, Thursday (30/7/2026).
