Paragliders set for nationals

JAKARTA (JP): The Indonesian Aero Sports Federation (FASI) will stage the national paragliding championships in Batu, a resort area near Malang, East Java, from Sept. 3 to Sept. 12.

The event also serves as the qualification for the 2000 National Games (PON), in which paragliding will make its debut.

The championships will feature four events of individual landing accuracy, team landing accuracy, individual cross country and team cross country. About 50 paragliders from 11 FASI provincial chapters will compete. (yan)
