Parachute Action by Policewomen and Bhayangkari Enlivens 80th Bhayangkara Day

The peak celebration of the 80th Bhayangkara Day took place festively at the Brimob Training Centre in Cikeas, Bogor, West Java. The event featured various attractions, from a parachute jump by dozens of Polri personnel and a Bhayangkari member to a tense hostage rescue simulation.

During the parachute display, members of the Indonesian National Police (Polri) decorated the skies of Cikeas before landing smoothly on the main field. Upon landing, the parachutists immediately rendered a salute to President Prabowo Subianto and other invited guests.

Among the dozens of police officers, two female figures stole the spotlight. They were Iptu Yeni Dwi Hermila, a policewoman, and Chintya Herdi Saraung, a Bhayangkari from the Kema Police Sector, North Sulawesi.

While airborne, the parachutists carried flags representing 12 work units that received the Nugraha Sakanti 2026 award. These included the Legal Division, Finance Centre, Metro Jaya Regional Police, Banten Regional Police, Central Java Regional Police, East Java Regional Police, West Java Regional Police, North Sumatra Regional Police, Riau Regional Police, Lampung Regional Police, Central Kalimantan Regional Police, and West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police.

They also unfurled banners bearing the vision messages of the Indonesian National Police, such as ‘Polri Melayani’ (Polri Serves), ‘Polri Presisi’ (Precision Polri), and ‘Polri Melindungi’ (Polri Protects). A large banner featuring the image of President Prabowo Subianto was also displayed in the sky.

The parachute action was concluded with the unfurling of the Tribrata flag, the logo of the 80th Bhayangkara Day, and the Indonesian national flag, the Merah Putih, as a symbol of nationalism.

Following the parachute display, the skies of Cikeas were further enlivened by a formation flight of 30 paramotor units from the Dirgantara community. The celebration continued with a hostage rescue simulation demonstrating the combat capabilities of the Brimob Corps, complete with dramatic explosions and gunfire. The event concluded with an operational vehicle parade and a defile involving various elements of society, marking the closeness of the Indonesian National Police to the people on its 80th anniversary.
