PAR Enhances Teacher Competency Ahead of New Academic Year
PT Prime Agri Resources Tbk (PAR) is preparing for the operation of SMP Perdana Sukamara by enhancing the competency of its teaching staff ahead of the 2026/2027 academic year. The company believes teacher quality is a crucial foundation for developing superior human resources.
Taufik Hidayat Batubara, Chairman of the Perdana Medika Cemerlang Foundation, stated that educational quality must be built from the preparation stage, not only through the provision of facilities and infrastructure but also by ensuring teachers have adequate competence. ‘As a new school starting its journey, we realise that the quality of education needs to be prepared from the very beginning. Therefore, we ensure that the teachers of SMP Perdana Sukamara have strong competencies before welcoming students in the new academic year,’ he said on Tuesday (30/6/2026).
SMP Perdana Sukamara, under the auspices of the Perdana Medika Cemerlang Foundation, has completed its new student admissions and teacher recruitment processes. In preparation for the start of teaching and learning activities, PAR has collaborated with Putera Sampoerna Foundation to conduct a teacher competency improvement programme. The training covers strengthening pedagogical skills, lesson planning, classroom management, and the implementation of student-centred learning strategies.
The programme was carried out in two stages. The first stage, from 4-6 June 2026, focused on aligning the school’s vision, mission, and culture, as well as formulating the development direction for SMP Perdana Sukamara. The subsequent stage, from 8-12 June 2026, equipped teachers with a differentiated learning approach that tailors the learning process to the needs, abilities, and characteristics of each student.
Tulus Sihombing, General Manager of PT Sungai Rangit, said that improving teacher competency is the foundation for building a quality learning culture from the moment the school begins operations. ‘By strengthening competencies from the outset, the school can build a positive and sustainable learning culture, thereby creating meaningful learning in the classroom,’ Tulus stated.
According to PAR, strengthening the quality of education is an effort to support community development through improving the quality of human resources. The company believes that investment in education will provide long-term benefits for community productivity and regional competitiveness. SMP Perdana Sukamara is scheduled to commence operations in the 2026/2027 academic year. In addition to preparing facilities and infrastructure, the school is prioritising the readiness of its teaching staff to ensure the learning process runs effectively from day one.
