Papuan photo expo at Erasmus Huis

JAKARTA: Early photographs of the Papuan highlands are on
display at the Erasmus Huis for the whole month.

Race to the Snow, opened on Wednesday evening, is a selection
of photographs from expeditions to Papua, formerly New Guinea,
between 1907 and 1936. Many of them have not previously been
published.

The photographs represent an important document of the history
of highland Papuan people.--JP
