Papua Provincial Government Aims for More Integrated Development Data by 2027

The Papua Provincial Government aims to ensure that development data management becomes increasingly integrated by 2027 through the strengthening of the Papua One Data Forum.

The Acting Regional Secretary of Papua, Christian Sohilait, stated in Jayapura on Friday that the preparation of the 2027 Papua Provincial Data List is a vital component in ensuring that development information needs can be met accurately and measurably.

“The compiled data list must truly address Papua’s development needs, so that it can be utilised from the planning process through to evaluation,” he said.

According to Christian, the Papua One Data Forum is expected to build understanding and coordination among stakeholders to provide high-quality, integrated data that aligns with regional development requirements.

He noted that the Papua Provincial Government held a Coordination Meeting for the Papua One Data Forum on Wednesday (2/9) to discuss the preparation of the 2027 Papua Provincial Data List and the Papua Provincial One Data Action Plan for 2027–2030.

He explained that this action plan is not merely an administrative requirement but must be implemented as a shared commitment to improving the quality of data management in Papua.
