JAYAPURA — The armed separatist group Organisasi Papua Merdeka (OPM) has claimed to have executed two civil servants (ASN) in Dekai, Yahukimo Regency, Papua Pegunungan, on Monday (27/4/2026).

Spokesperson for the Tentara Pembebasan Nasional Papua Barat (TPNPB) OPM, Sebby Sambom, stated that the execution was carried out because the group accused the two victims of being Indonesian intelligence spies. Sebby said the execution of the two civil servants took place at Kali Baru on Monday (27/4/2026) local time.

The execution was performed by shooting with live ammunition. Sebby said the group responsible for the execution came from the TPNPB-OPM Yahukimo unit led by Lampion Heluka.

“TPNPB-OPM has received an official report from Major Mackar Sobolim and his troops in the field that they have executed two Indonesian government military intelligence agents disguised as civil servants,” Sebby told Republika on Monday (27/4/2026).

TPNPB-OPM, according to Sebby, takes responsibility for the shooting execution. TPNPB-OPM also reiterated its ultimatum to migrant communities currently in Papua to leave the Land of Cenderawasih.
