Panwaslu to report corrupt prosecutors

JAKARTA: Nine regional Election Supervisory Committees (Panwaslu) have agreed to monitor and report corrupt prosecutors to Attorney General Abdul Rahman Saleh in a bid to create a clean government.

"Panwaslu members from nine regional offices will form a non- governmental organization on Nov. 20. We will then make a list of corrupt prosecutors together with relevant evidence of their misconduct and submit it to the Attorney General," said Aswanto, the chairman of Panwaslu in South Sulawesi.

He added that Panwaslu members from South Sulawesi, Papua, Southeast Sulawesi, Bali, East Kalimantan, Aceh, Central Java, Lampung and South Kalimantan agreed to get together to form an NGO and offer input to the new Attorney General. --Antara
