The Pantoloan Customs and Excise Office has destroyed 275 ballpress bales and 4.6 million illegal cigarettes, all classified as State-Owned Goods (BMMN) resulting from customs and excise enforcement actions throughout 2025. The destruction took place on Tuesday (23/6/2026) after all items received approval for disposal. In total, the office destroyed 275 ballpress bales from customs violations, valued at IDR 550 million, and 4,634,600 illicit cigarettes from excise violations, valued at IDR 7,300,284,060. Head of the Pantoloan Customs Office, Wing Hartopo, stated that the destruction demonstrates the agency’s commitment to enforcing customs and excise laws while protecting the public from the circulation of illegal goods. He explained that the success in uncovering these violations was due to synergy between Customs and the Indonesian National Armed Forces, the National Police, the Public Prosecutor’s Office, and other related parties, including courier service companies. Hartopo expressed appreciation for the support from all law enforcement agencies, related institutions, and partners who have worked together to safeguard the community from the distribution of illegal goods.
