Panther van stolen by gang
BOGOR (JP): A 29-year-old driver named Samiyo, a resident of Tomang, West Jakarta, was found on the Jagorawi toll road with a severe head wound on Wednesday night after an unidentified gang stole his blue Isuzu Panther van.
"It happened on Wednesday afternoon right after I dropped off my employer's child at Kelapa Gading Mall in East Jakarta," Samiyo told the media in PMI Bogor Hospital on Thursday.
"I parked the car and a man approached me. We talked and he said he had just bought a new car seat for Rp 1 million.
"He said he wanted to look at my car seat. Two other men came by and suddenly sat in the car and threatened me with a keris," Samiyo said.
Samiyo was hit in the head and dumped on the side of the toll road before freeway officers found him and rushed him to the hospital. The case is being handled by the Ciawi Police. (21/edt)
